FTP Thingy ReviewJust what I was looking for - Version: 1.1.1, 3/30/2006 01:40PM PST

If you want your hand held through the FTP process, this app isn't for you. If you want a streamlined, bare-bones Upload/Download app, this does the job nicely. It allows you to bookmark favorite FTP sites, so for web devs that need simple file transfer without using an IDE it's great! Does have a few UI bugs, but nothing that impedes the functionality.

One thing that would be nice in future versions is some calculation of the Transfer Rate and more detail on the Uploaded/Remaining bytes instead of just a progress bar just because I like to watch that sort of thing

Overall, best free FTP app I've found. Works stable in 10.4.5

FTP Thingy Reviewhands down the best - Version: 1.1.1, 1/19/2006 04:19PM PST

I haven't had any problems running Thingy. Infact, it's been faster and so much lighter than both Fetch and Transmit.

So far as freeware goes, it's tops.

I download it, click on the icon, it starts to open in the dock, then disappears.

Running latest 10.4 operating system.

This sucks.
