Product Description:

The python included with OS X does not include the readline module (readline is GPL'd -- nothing in the core operating system can be GPL'd because the GPL is an encumbered license -- it ain't freeware if it is GPL). If you have the dev tools installed, download this itty bitty hunk o' gunk, change directories to the directory that results from untarring the archive and type 'sudo /usr/bin/python setup.py install' to install readline support.
Requires 10.2 and the 10.2 developer tools.
