Pod Manager ReviewWrong priorities - Version: 2.2.1, 4/28/2004 05:12AM PST

Yeah, you've got the Aqua look, but your missing features that make it worth while. No search, no track length or file size. There are better that are free - you don't deserve $ for this.

$8 for this program because, A) It’s lists and sorts the song files by title, artist & album, not just by file name, B) It means you don’t have to rummage through a number of directories to find what you’re looking for, C) It’s significantly easier to use than the terminal method. The only problem I’ve found, so far, is that the columns don’t refresh when you change the window size (at least in demo mode.) That being said, a registration is definitely in my future. Oh, and an eject iPod button would be nice too.

a bit technical, but why would anyone pay for functionality that you get for free in Terminal (open your iPod disk under /Volumes and find the Music subdirectory, then just copy the mp3 files to your heart's content -- the files are readily accessible in unix). Or just buy a larger hard disk and keep a backup copy of your music there. With HD prices today, $8 isn't too far off for a few extra gigabytes... and both alternatives are _much_ faster than any iPod file copy utility.

Why anyone except Quarkers would use OS 9 now is beyond me.
