Product Description:

MP3-to-A WAVE will convert MP3-files - as well as other QuickTime compatible audio files - to standard 44.1 kHz AIFF-format audiofiles. These files are compatible with Toast in order to burn Audio CD's. MP3-to-WAVE can convert multiple files in a single session.

What's new in this version:

Now OS X compatible! The conversion is now made by QuickTime to guarantee 100% compatibility with Toast and other applications that handles audio. Furthermore, not only MP3-files may be converted. All audio formats supported by QuickTime, as well as movies containing separate audio tracks (not MPEG movies) may be converted to WAVE audio files.

I had an MP3 with too much silence at the end. The MP3 to WAV converter worked fine, then I could use another program to clip the silent end. iTunes converted the result back to MP3 and voila!

best decoders (in quality) is the MAD decoder... it's not a derivative of the ISO sources so it has a lot less problems. handles audio at 24 bits and allows for better dithering for quality.
