Any chance this will be updated soon? I'm not a fan of APE and this product interests me for that very reason, but with so little appearing to be going on I'm leery of trying it out.

Will not launch. double click on it in the finder and it animates with the whole "opening an application" zoom animation thing. launching from the dock makes it bounce once then die. I'd love to make this thing work tho... the cool icon shows me that it might have some potential :D

To make Duality start (and work) correctly in Mac OS 10.3.2, it is apparently necessary to install "ThemeKit Runtime Framework" from "http://www.carpestellarem.com/Downloads/" (the company that makes Duality). For me, this solved the problem and made the program work as it should.
Incidently, the 10.2 Themes on MaxThemes.com that I've tried seem to work fine in 10.3. Thought I'd let everybody know.
Good Luck!

...crashes on launch for me as well (10.2.8). ShapeShifter may be safer but is no alternative for me and my G4/400 because it slows down things exactly because it doesn't replace the resources, but puts them in place "on the fly" (at least that's what it seems like to me). Duality 4.01 still works fine for me and with the right theme it's in fact faster than the aqua appearance. On 10.3 I'd rather choose the pro-style to speed up things. I simply prefer performance.
shapeshifter support only? - Version: 4.02, 11/29/2003 12:03PM PST

If new themes support ShapeShifter only, that will be too bad. I had to remove it from my system because its was slowing things down.

The main theme makers have stated that they are going to build their new themes for Shapeshifter only, including rebuilds, so I am afraid I have moved over to Shapeshifter.

If you look at your crash log, you will see that the crash is related to a hard-coded library path, rather than a relative path. I have informed the developer of the problem and I am sure that it will be fixed in the upcoming hours.

Crashed on me also upon launch using 10.3.1. Usually a reliable product for me but this version is not doing well!
As it is now, trying to launch Duality 4.02 will cause Duality to just "unexpectedly quit", citing a library file that's not installed, and cites a pathname where it's supposed to be, but the pathname starts with Users/colincornaby/Documents. As warpedten notes below, the reason is that to get Duality to work, you also need to install "ThemeKit Runtime Framework", also from the makers of Duality. Too bad he didn't bother to mention this in the readme file that accompanies Duality, and too bad he didn't include it in the Duality download, and the web page at http://www.conundrumsoft.com/newduality/ doesn't come right out and say you need to install this separately. To really put the nail in Duality's coffin, the Themekit Runtime Framework used to be at http://www.carpestellarem.com/Downloads/, but they've taken that link down, so you can no longer get the basic stuff needed to get Duality to run.
www.conundrumsoft.com/newduality is a page that says the "new Duality" will be released "next week"…but they don't say WHICH "next week"--the comment is undated. Apparently someone forgot about this page's existence, so it's still up.
Too bad Duality is dead, if their claims about speed, etc. were true. I wanted to install a simpler OS X theme to see if it would speed up OS X, but it now seems that only slower theme utils like ShapeShifter remain, so that regardless of which theme you use with them, they make OS X run slower.
