Just when I had secured Africa, the application started skipping the tactical phase, and I could not attack, only fortify...soon purple secured Europe and it was only a matter of time....sniffle.

screwy and I don't like the interface. I don't have anything against Flash, but why does it have to take up my whole screen and why is it so ugly?

Risk that came out around the same time as System 7 was superior to this version in every conceivable way. Better, faster, more intuitive game play, a much clearer game board, much better AI (although still lacking), and much, much faster. That was 10 years ago on a 33 mghz Mac II si and system 7.0. Things in RISK land have apparently gone a long way - towards getting worse- since then.
