Product Description:

Deja Vu offers an automatic and seamless new approach to backing up your files. It's a preference pane that shows up in your System Preferences, and it allows you to schedule unattended backups of important folders, or even your entire system.

Deja Vu has been localized for English, French, German, Italian, Dutch, Swedish, Japanese, Ukrainian, and Traditional Chinese.

  • Backup an unlimited number of folders.
  • Perform your backup manually at the click of a button, or schedule your backups to run whenever it's convenient for you. Backups may be scheduled on a daily, weekly or monthly basis, and will be performed even if you aren't logged in.
  • Save time by backing up only the files that have changed since the last backup.
  • Perform remote backups to WebDAV, AFP, NFS and SMB servers.
  • Synchronize the contents of folders.
  • Accurately clone your OS X system disk, producing a bootable copy.

What's new in this version:

  • Snow Leopard compatibility
  • Made disk space checking a bit more robust.
  • Switched to a more reliable method of verifying that we are backing up to an actual disk and not an orphaned mount point.

Having used Deja Vu for many years, I'm very disappointed with the lack of customer support. I loaded the current version of Deja Vu on a new Mac running OS 10.6 and it has a problem seeing our servers. After following Propaganda's trouble shooting guide and having no luck, I emailed them twice with info, reports, screen shots, etc. and never received a response. It was a great product, but I need a back up solution that is supported by the developer.

I've been using Deja Vu for years. Now, I am having a serious problem. I've emailed multiple times asking for support, no reply.

I'm very disappointed. Do not buy this product. If you have a problem, you will not get support.

Deja Vu CommentaryCrashes System Preferences - Version: 3.6, 9/2/2009 01:41PM PST

I've used Deja Vu happily for years. Installed the 3.6 update on my Snow Leopard system, and it crashes System Preferences, every time I try to select it. This will not do. Crash reports have been sent to Apple:(
