Blue Box Invoices allows the generation of estimates or invoices, tracking of income related to specific companies or items, and tracking of full, partial, paid, unpaid, and overdue amounts. BlueBox Invoices ReviewExcellent App but ??? Future - Version: 1.4, 8/16/2009 10:53PM PST

As others have said it doesn't work with current FM versions. I emailed and he actually sent me files so I could try to port to a more recent version of FM. I should try this but I got bogged down with other projects. For some reason it has gotten very slow, though that may be FM's fault - or more accurately the fault of running a very outdated version of FM on an OS it was not designed for. Billings is the only thing I have found that I might be willing to switch to but it's twice the price and I won't be able to import, probably, and I would MUCH RATHER stick with an updated BBI. But alas I think the prospects are slim. I think this is a pretty much abandoned app. Though ironically as I mentioned I have still gotten very good support, just no word on an update. I may bite the bullet and try to do a port, but if it doesn't "just work" I'm pretty lost.

BlueBox Invoices ReviewLong Time User Unable to Update Using FM8 - Version: 1.4, 10/18/2006 07:31AM PST

I have used BlueBox for years, and it's been great. Except you can't update the files to the latest Filemaker. It tried it with FM7 and with FM8. Because some of the programs files are in sub-directories, BlueBox breaks several links to these files when you try to update the files to a newer version of FM. And once the links are broken, they can not be fixed.

So I have been using it with FM6 for a few years, but it's so slow. Jay hasn't offered me much help when I have emailed him, so I guess the product is dead. Too bad, because it was a great little program and just what I needed.

Jay, any chance you could update the files and repair the broken links and release it as version1.5?

I find BlueBox easy to use if you set it up right. I suggest those having
problems read the pdf manual that comes with it. (Located in the program folder)
