DX-Ball ReviewVery good game.… - Version: 1.10, 4/1/2003 01:01PM PST

The only complaints: full-screen mode only, no window mode and the game is too easy... far too easy. But the gameplay, the music and the graphics are just fine. With Lbreakout2, one of the best OSX breakout out there.

zenmonkey, right down to the "old C64 and Amiga days" part. MegaBall! Addictive! Still, if you're on an old Mac like mine, G3/400, there are occasional noogies in the fluid motion. I'm gonna BUY this one, though.

Collibricks, but it doesn't give me the nostalgic rush that DX does. I like the idea of a simple interface with nothing unneeded; it comes from my old C64 and Amiga days. Ehmpi3-- Be quiet. Not everyone wants gibs and blood to fly on their desktops; some are content with bricks, steel balls and the occasional explosion. Not that there's anything wrong with UT or Q3A, it's just that sometimes we want a simple diversion rather than a full tournament; and for diversions, simple graphics and sounds are fine. And the music? I'm a big fan of old computer musics like Ron Hubbard's stuff for the C64, so I can find no fault in kickass MODfiles.

of the year! Good play if it's the only thing running on a G4/400, but I agree. Too many death blobs falling from the sky.
