Forget the download link, it "times out" so the driver is probably not available.
Won't buy Lexmark ever again....

Got the Z42 because of a rebate: big mistake. Beyond the ink costs, the software has been nothing but a pain, even with this update.
* Installing ink cartridges often takes 3 or 4 tries: the software is aware you've put in a new cartridge, and will not let the printer print until you've gone through the alignment process. Except it doesn't reliably finish the process, and often I have to restart the utility -- and it again opens with the "I see you have installed new ink!" process. 3,4,5 alignment pages later (nothing different between them), finally the printer and software agree that a new cartridge is installed and in fact ready to print.
* The ink level tool merely counts the number of times you've printed since installing the cartridge, as far as I can tell -- rather unreliable. Since I have to remove the color cartridge to clean the heads if I don't use it often enough, the color levels are NEVER correct. I would never rely on these levels to know when to buy ink -- I keep some on hand, just in case.
* The printer has NEVER worked reliably with 10.3 -- Cups driver, this driver, it often hangs while printing and does nothing. Occassionally cannot print pages from the print utility, and then will on the next attempt -- works randomly, as far as I can tell.
The rebate $$ were not worth the trouble here -- I plan to avoid all Lexmarks in the future because of these problems.

These are excellent…

drivers... full-featured, stable, and comprehensive. They even include integrated ink level and diagnostic tools. I've been pleasantly surprised by Lexmark's support of Mac OS X. Lexmark promptly released 10.2-compatible drivers for this non-current printer shortly after 10.2 was released. I'm still waiting for some HP and Epson drivers!
