iAddressX is a utility that puts your Address Book in a menu in the menu bar for quick and easy access.

iAddressX allows you to quickly dial, send email, paste mailing labels, find contacts etc.

What's new in this version:

  • Fixed bug that caused search to work.
  • Fixed bug that caused incorrect formatting of phone numbers with letters, like 1-800-MY-APPLE
  • Dialing numbers with letters, like 1-800-MY-APPLE, now works.
  • Dialing dialog now display the both the filtered phone number as well as the number displayed in the menu.
  • Fixed bug that caused the hangup delay to not be honered.
  • Fixed another phone number formatting bug.
  • Fixed bug that caused phone numbers in iAddressX to not emmidiatly reflect a change to the automatic formatting of phone numbers preference in Address Book.
  • Fixed bug that caused all contacts to be shown at first level when both "All" and "Show in separate menu" was turned off.
  • Fixed incorrect tooltips on about tab.
  • Fixed bug that prevented default person field to work for phone field and large type as default action.
  • Fixed bug that caused stretched text in large type.

My main desktop is a 733 MHz that can't run leopard, and thus I didn't realize until I tried to find this software for a new machine I purchased that a) it doesn't run on Leopard and b) the developer seems to be out of business.

Unfortunately, this is one of my favorite pieces of software ever. I paid for it, and would easily pay for it again - from the easy access and copy/paste of any information to the super big transparent numbers on the screen, this beats anything in terms of quick access to contact information.

Quick! If someone else doesn't program this first, I will!!!

This WAS clearly one of the best applications for the Mac. I actually paid real money for it.

Then I bought a new iMac that runs Leopard. This application doesn't work with 10.5 AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH !!! cough, cough, wheeze.

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEeezzzzzZzzZzZZzzzzZZzz

Make it work with Leopard.

Please Mr. Jailer, let my man go free.

I have been using iAddressX since Sept. of 2002, and I have never had any problems with it. I am currently running on Mac OSX 10.4.2, with all of the Security updates. I have recommended iAddress to a number of people. Great job!
