Contextual Menus - Version: 1.3.2, 2/10/2004 08:03PM PST

I agree that the desktop metaphor needs reworking, and that it's a good idea to focus on the communications aspect of computing, since that seems to be the primary use of computers nowadays. However, I don't think contextual menus (especially using a right- or control-click) is a good idea. It would be better if Spring also organizes things for you, and shows you more information without having to dig through menus. Anyway, keep it up!

And as a side note, incidentally, Microsoft/Windows seems to be working on making things easier by moving away from desktops as well ("task-based"). Hate to admit it, but I think their concept is a good one...

Read the comments here! Spend some time on the docs so people know what it is and how to use it. The best app in the world is nothing more than a huge waste of time if no one can figure it out!
