DAVE CommentaryDON"T BOTHER BUYING THIS. - Version: 7.1, 4/2/2008 03:55PM PST

I used Dave in Tiger and it worked great. When I went to Leopard I went to the new version when it was available. I have never gotten it to work. I have spent a significant amount of time on the phone with technical support and they couldn't figure it out. I asked for my money back and they refused because it was a digital download, rather than a CD. I just upgraded hoping it would help. IT STILL DOESN'T WORK THURSBY. I even had a network professional try and make it work thinking it was a problem with the server and it's setup. He couldn't get it to work. This is junk and should be avoided.

Only tried this because the upgrade was so much. Uninstalled it and just used built in smb. Everything works even with complex networks that would not work under 10.4.

Thanks for making the upgrade so expensive that I decided to try it without Dave.

I have used Dave over the years, It has helped to fill the void left to be compatible with Samba and Microslop servers over the various Mac OS X versions. Now with Leopard, just type smb:// server name running Samba in the box when you invoke Command K and boom, you have the server mounted on the desktop. Does what i need, I do not see the need to upgrade anymore. Thanks Dave, for me its adios
