This program is basically a variation on MacPaint with extra features. Overall it's a reasonable low-end bitmap editor suitable for those needs and the price is certainly good given it's feature set.

for new graphics programs, but, this one won't open many of my jpegs unless I use "Open with Paintfx " from a contextual menu instead of "Open" from within Paintfx :( After getting one open... I didn't see "... tons of cool effects...". Just sevral variations on a theme...
