It works great with Panther on my end and XP on my Pal's end. Not many video conference apps work this well and are this easy to use. Rocks with my iSight and the picture looks better with this than it does with iChat. Firewire cams really beat USB ones any day. There is nothing wrong with this application. The trick is simply to convince your friends to use it as well.
Try it and then buy it if you like it. We did.

It does work very well Mac-to-Mac

I have been using this (various versions) for about a year and it works really well (at least, Mac-to-Mac). The audio quality does not degrade like iChat AV over time. Setup is a bit more complicated but once you get it right, it is as good as it gets. I saved tons of money on long-distance phone calls using this and I am very satisfied with it. <p>As for Mac-to-PC communication, who wants to chat with Windows users anyay? ;)
Works great

I am using this program for several months with no problem. I'm conversing on a daily basis with my father using squidcam on Windows XP (while I am using Mac OS X 10.3) with no problem whatsoever: sound is perfect, webcam is working. And it never has crashed on me.
Technical support was very prompt and helpful to help me opening the right port on my firewall: I highly recommend this program!

I just installed it in 5 min, and so did my dad (so it can't be hard!) and we got a nive connection between his imac and my titanium running Panther. We used ichatusbcam before and the image was nowhere as good.

The sad fact of the matter is this: 99 out 100 Users Surveyed cannot get this Squidly Cam to Work with Macs or PCS.
Therefore, 99 USERS out 100 say Don't Try It . . . Don't Waste Your Time . . . And, CERTAINLY DON'T GET CAUGHT IN A BATTLE OF BLAME WITH THE COMPANY.

>If you're working on it, fine, but don't blame us.
I'm really not blaming anyone, and I think we're taking responsibility for the problems.
>Should I buy an incomplete product????
Not if you don't want to, certainly. The beta was released because several people needed it. It's working for them, and not for you. I'm not arguing that point at all.
If you're interested in helping us reproduce the problem (and therefore let us diagnose/fix it), we'll be happy to issue free registration codes for your trouble. Thanks for the feedback.
