Product Description:
NovaMind is a great way to organize your thoughts, remember information, generate ideas, solve problems, and focus on the main issues in a fun and creative way using Mind Mapping techniques.
What's new in this version:
- Completed the Dutch translation
- Various corrections to the existing Dutch translations
- Snap lines now snaps to both left and right side of any branch, and snaps to equal vertical spacing
- Replaced the crash reporting system with one that should provide us with much better bug reports and be more reliable about intercepting the error messages.
- Re-enabled snap lines with new features
- Corrected a problem where you could end up with both snap lines on and off at the same time on the toolbar
- Fixed a problem where if you tried to print header or footer text without setting the font, printing would fail
- Fixed a problem with printing where attempting to print a frame on the Mind Map would fail
- Fixed a problem where selected graphics/branches would draw behind unselected branches
- Added text indicator on Keynote export
- Added hyperlink indicator on Keynote export
- Added screenwriter text indicator to Keynote export
- Added checkboxes on Keynote export
- Added priority markers to Keynote export
- Added branch percentage complete pie graph to Keynote export
- Fixed a problem with the Keynote export where images were not cropped to branch boundaries
- Added an option to not show the Early Adopters panel
- Fixed a problem where selection of certain choices in the plain text export caused the export to not have linefeeds where it should have
- Fixed a problem with plain text export where it would omit branch notes under some circumstances

I've been using this wonderful app for a little over a year now and use it for everything from project development to writing essays to screenwriting...
I cannot recommend this highly enough plus their customer service is the best I have ever experienced...

useful, powerful and easy to use. An extrordinary piece of software for teaching, learning, thinking, presenting, brainstorming. A must have.
NovaMind is a good application, but the upgrade prices are out of touch with alternative solutions. I still have version 3, but don't use it anymore.
The last mind maps I did were created with XMind Pro. Not very Mac-like, but it got the job done and currently costs less than a NovaMind upgrade.
Another great option that I will keep in mind is Mindjet's MindManager. Since the time I purchased NovaMind I liked MindManager's look and feel. NovaMind looks a bit cartoonish and MindManager has a more professional look. Still, I decided to go with NovaMind, mainly due to its integration with Merlin (and the idea of supporting a good Mac developer), but I was happy to find that MindManager integrates with FastTrack Schedule, which I also use from time to time.
This one is definitely not for me. I was shocked at the jump from 3.2 to 4.0, and then shocked further by the upgrade fees.
