Application Enhancer CommentaryThis explains Unsanity's silence - Version: 2.5.2, 9/28/2009 03:19PM PST

I think this is an unwise policy but it's Unsanity's policy on communication with customers: "Note: Please do not post comments and/or send emails asking about the present and/or future of things not mentioned in this post. Such comments will be moderated, deleted, or edited. When we have something to say about other products, it will be posted, and not a moment before then. Asking us about ETAs just ends up wasting both of our time. Apologies for taking such a harsh stance, but the only thing we would tell you is "it'll be done when it's done" and we're trying to prevent a repeat of the tens of thousands of comments/emails we've received asking for an ETA. Any kind of timeframe or ETA we could possibly give will be wrong and users get very disappointed when ETAs are missed. That's the nature of ETAs, they are always wrong. And due to the fact we won't release something before we feel it is ready, any ETA is even more likely to be missed." I have noticed one thing about Unsanity is that for every year since 2002 they've always posted an upgrade to APE. If they miss 2009 that might just indicate they are having problems.

It's aggravating searching all over the unsanity site trying to find any mention of Snow Leopard compatibility. WTF? Could they at least just say they are working on it or.... NOT???

Application Enhancer ReviewUnsanity still in business - Version: 2.5, 8/9/2009 10:28PM PST

Contrary to popular rumor reports of Unsanity's death are greatly exaggerated. The latest version of Application Enhancer just came out today and it's now at version 2.5.1. I will admit Unsanity does not help things by the way they handle news updates but I have no power over that. All I can do is report on how well the software works for me and let the end user decide for themselves. So far I've seen no problems with this update and everything works just fine. If that changes in the future I will post an update.

Unsanity has chosen to jump ship, and leave their loyal customer base screwed. DO NOT waste your money donating or buying a license as all you will be doing is throwing your money away. I deleted all my Unsanity haxies. Never again with Unsanity.

as with all haxies-you need to know what youre doing.

reboot, do applejack or fsck-y, then open in safe boot, repair permissions THEN install. Reboot and repair permissions again. should work just fine

Seems like my troubles started after installing this awhile back. So after my computer finally died. I did a fresh install and I'm staying clear of this and any other hacks.

This beta version is now dated and causing problems. Snow Leopard will be released to the pubic before Unsanity gets its act together. What happened to Unsanity? From hero to zero, and below.

It is entirely FALSE that Unsanity is no longer in business.
A new beta for FontCard was released on 20 July 2008.

I own FontCard, FruitMenu, Menu Master, and WindowShade. All of their betas have worked well with Leopard on multiple Mac's.
