BLT ReviewNo Longer Supported? - Buggy - Version: 1.0.3, 6/11/2008 04:09PM PST

You must check the links for an entire site. If you try to start in a sub-directory, the application crashes.
You cannot use the stop button because the application crashes.
The developer does not respond to email or trouble tickets.

BLT ReviewRoom for improvement - Version: 0.2, 12/23/2003 07:49AM PST

I'm quite impressed by the logo and simple interface but some of the functionality needs a bit of work - requesting (and respecting) robots.txt would be a good place to start, and caching pages already requested to avoid over-aggressive indexing. Also an option to not index CSS and Image files. If you can do all that then I'll definately make a donation (-;

BLT Usage Tiphow to check Anchors ? - Version: 0.2, 5/24/2003 03:50AM PST

really nice tool. I searched for a solution, because BBEdit 7.03 has a bug, checking the links of the form: relative/path.htm#part_one . Is it possible to check them too with BLT ?

like to see it support external links that are being passed through a link tracking cgi (like AXS).

But should be able to detect html links inside some .php .jsp .asp files, for example. I know, some vars could be involved in such files links and, meeting such vars, an error would be reported by the software. But this wouldn't bother me, personnally..

app, and very nice that it's free. It crashes hard though when asked to scan a local html file; I had to set up web sharing and go through the localhost. Also would be nice to click the output and be taken to the page with the broken link, and copy urls from the output list.

does scan whole sites. Still I'd really like to be able to save the results to a file and load later on. VSE Linkchecker does this, but still is only a Classic application. Still I'm impressed with the speed of this program, best since VSE Linkchecker, and I like the fact you can double click on the bad links to check them out. Would be great to be able to select and copy paste the links too, as then I can use BBEdit to find out which other pages on my website have that same link. Any chance ftp, gopher, telnet, and news tags can be checked too?
