Bright Idea
Nothing. You all should use Hydra, now called SubEthaEdit. It rocks and is lightweight as well.
Personal Write does have a smaller codebase, and therefore takes up less room, but with the number of other activities in my life at the moment and for the forseeable future, I will not be updating the app.
Those who use Personal Write b/c of the small application size (188KB) for special and enhanced uses (bootable USB, Zip, floppy, etc.) are free to continue using it, and please let me know if/when it breaks in a new OS update. Thank you.
The possibility of incorporating the ability to load tablature as well as lyrics and have it highlight areas at a set tempo? For the present time, still a ways off in the distance. It will still be free.

Badmac
it's a nice application...very very simple...does everything TextEdit does and that comes with your mac os...never saw the point in making apps that do that same thing, little text editors...one more thing, IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH MUSICIANS...it could just as easily be aimed at zookeepers who want to keep track of the number of monkey terds they get hit with every day...good job on the app, but fix your description
a good idea for a guitar musician program would be one that had tablature on one line, then line for lyrics, then line for tabs, then lyrics...so you know what notes go with what words...research that and make that program, i'd buy it, if it wasn't free
