Product Description:

DesktopPictureCM is a Contextual Menu plugin that provides a quick way to set the desktop picture from within the Finder. Simple right-click or control-click the picture and select 'Set as Desktop Picture'.

Maybe the problems is in Panther. It turns the screen blue. Worthless!

attempt to set non-image type files as a Desktop Picture. Unfortunately it does, and the Desktop turns into blue.

contrary to what I thought, not built into 10.2 Jaguar. The CM in Jaguar simply let's you open the Desktop Pref Pane, not change the desktop by ctrl-clicking an imagefile. I've been trying to develop this very kind of utility, but it seems it's not needed now :)
