Doesn't work on Intel MPB running 10.5.2, but it does work with 10.4.11 on a G4 Powerbook... ten again, the old version worked fine on the Powerbook. This doesn't solve the problem of configuring an old base station on a new 10.5 Intel Mac. What a waste.

I have a 24” Intel Core 2 Duo (10.5.2) and a Graphite Base Station.
My machine came with Airport Utility 5.3.1. Do I still need AP Admin 4.2.5?

Good to see that Apple finally got their heads out of their a**es regarding the Graphite and Snow AirPort BaseStations. Or, maybe it was an "Oh, s**t!" moment when they realized that people were still using the lowly 802.11b Snow and Graphite models.
But now, it looks like owners of these models are second-class citizens in the eyes of Apple. Couldn't Apple have included support for these models in the current release of the Airport software just as easily as issuing a stand-alone product?
Separate, but equal...

a neighbor set up a Linksys connection point/router/hub and it was a total pain. The Airport Admin utility is outstanding and justifies any price diffrerence. It took less than 5 minutes to download and install this firmware on the ABS. The Linksys process took me about half an hour. My neighbors were unable to figure out how to do the upgrades on the Linksys. So I'm sure happy that Apple has a solution available that is well designed and easy to use.

there is something wrong with this. Everything went fine at first, but now I need to manually select my snow base station from every Airport computer each time i want to connect. When a computer starts up or wakes up, it has no network until I manually tell it to use my Snow base station. This is NOT good. Setting the "connect with.." feature in the Network control panel does not fix this as it should.

with a routing output, works on mac and pc, 99$, also new g basestations are not in the 200$ range as well. but the funny thing is, i argue this, but i leech off my dad's snow airport. i am just saying he got ripped off, its still quality, and it still works very nice

has 0 Mac support. Not to say they don't work fine with macs, but not everyone can configure a wireless network without any support. 5 stars to offset. :)

card is $99.00, same as AP Extreme. Their 802.11g router (without external antenna ports or a modem plug) isn't even available yet, but will probably be about $250.00 street price. The AP Extreme deluxe model (w/modem and antenna plugs) is the same price. The AP Extreme is available now. How is this a hosejob exactly?
to solve the problem, I installed the windows software (version 3.2) on windows 7 (which runs with parallels desktop 4) and yo - I can configure my old airport station again- 1000 hugs to MS!
shame on u apple!
