QuickConference CommentaryLeopard Compatibility? - Version: 1.6.6, 1/24/2008 12:00AM PST

Our company uses QuickConference throughout a 60-user mixed PC/Mac environment. As it currently stands, we can't get QuickConference to work on 10.5.1 (Leopard). Hopefully they will be releasing a Leopard compatible version! A Universal binary would be nice too...

Gee, I'd like to know what was updated for Tiger with this release. The previous version seemed to work OK with the main exception that the background Listener application no longer runs as a background app. It shows up in the dock now, which is annoying, especially since it has an ugly pre-OS X icon. I had thought they would fix this with this release, but no dice. It still shows up in my dock. So I ask, what was updated? Seems like exactly the same app to me, bugs and all.

As the poster below, I'm looking to ditch this sw. Back when it was owned by the Prairie Group, they actually cared about it. I don't think CE cares about this at all, especially since they can't seem to find the time to make the server app run natively in OS X. I'm loathe to keep a piece of sw around that still requires OS 9 so many years after OS X has arrived. Give me a break already.

Have used Quickconference for quite some time. Macs and Windows (Creative and Accounting) Great program except it doesn't support firewalls. I've called, e-mailed numerous times to find out about an update. No dice. They are ignoring their biggest problem. Am now in the process of ditching this application for something else. If you have any of your machines walled off from other ones, DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!
