The software has the option to display metric units, which is helpful as there are currently only three countries in the world that haven't made the switch to metric units: Liberia, Myanmar, and the USA. The program also has the option to enter non-US locations, and the number of possible locations is huge, which is great. What is not so good is that you'll rarely find any data displayed for international locations. What you usually see are four question marks behind each international location. Conclusion: neat program if you live in the US and never travel. Otherwise look for better options.
not even worth "free"

i bought this product back when it was shareware. it was by far one of my favorite little apps, and i loved that i could see the radar, get forecasts, et al without having to open another program, or search on the internet. unfortunately, it is not being supported any longer. although the developer said he was trying to fix it, his last post on this issue on his forum was dated in july. not sure if he fell ill, or just doesn't want to deal with it any longer. if you are only after the current conditions in your area, then this would be good for you. if you like forecasts and radar, i would like to suggest the widget "radar in motion" and the forecast widget from accuweather.com

I had gladly paid the price for this app because it really did exactly what I wanted it to do. So I WAS major bummed out that the developer kind of dropped supporting it, it did seem like the issue was getting the data from the national weather service, and one WOULD think one would NOT have to be constantly updating the mechanism.
On a lark, I launched the app "for the hell of it." Running 10.4.9 on a dual G5. It sure appears to be functioning properly and correctly.
So it LOOKS like this fine app may be back in play for the latest OS release.
