NewNOTEPAD Pro CommentaryNot for me. - Version: 2.2.2, 3/11/2007 07:53AM PST

$23 bucks a pop? That's half what I paid for iLife. For that kind of money I expect proper documentation (the UserGuide in the Documents (English) folder is in Japanese, and most of the rest of the materials are mangled translations.

NewNOTEPAD Pro ReviewLacks one important feature - Version: 2.2.1, 8/14/2005 04:20AM PST

I have been using this app for a long time and it generally works well, but would be much improved if it could sync its note files across multiple computers like StickyBrain can via .Mac. As for now, it's a real pain to have to sync the notes on my home computer and on my laptop manually.

I sent the developer an email asking if he was considering such a feature upgrade in the future but never got a response. :-(

NewNOTEPAD Pro ReviewWhere's the spell checker? - Version: 2.1.2, 9/27/2004 10:23PM PST

cocoaNut
I like the app, even if it looks a little dated, it has a good, solid feeling about it but there is no spell checker that I can find. Add this and I may buy it. thanks.

NewNOTEPAD Pro ReviewNow it works again - Version: 2.0.9, 12/25/2003 09:27AM PST

The 2.0.9 bug fix works. NewNOTEPAD Pro now launches properly. This is a handy little app which I use almost every day.

Version 2.0.8 crashes at launch 100% of the time on my Pismo, 10.3.2. I went back to 2.0.7. Try again.

NewNOTEPAD Pro CommentaryCarbon - zilla ! - Version: 2.0.6, 9/5/2003 08:37AM PST

Leave nine behind and do a cocoa rewrite or be left behind.
Comparing this with either Hog Bay Notebook or even the
badly designed iOrganize - both out-shine this archaic carbon monster.

NewNOTEPAD Pro CommentaryStartup time - Version: 2.0.2, 6/1/2003 11:52PM PST

If startup time was not so slow, i would upgrade -
iMac 600 OS 9.1. Increasing memory did not seem to help.
Am I the only one?

NewNOTEPAD Pro Usage TipConduit! - Version: 2.0.2, 6/1/2003 09:32AM PST

well I too use iSync now and have missed the Note/Memo sync. I found sort of a work around. When you install iSync it disables all the basic Palm Conduits. I moved the Memo Conduit back into the active Conduits folder, and it works!!. Even if you use iSync you still have the Palm Desktop app so why not just use it as a Note app. Palm Desktop will open with the Memo's only if you quit it that way. So until there is a better way, this works for me.

NewNOTEPAD Pro Review- sorry but..- - Version: 2.0.1, 5/12/2003 10:43AM PST

this might have been a contender, if i didn't already have notepad deluxe, which i think is better [just a little] - in fact, they look very similar and have only minor differences. price is almost the same too. they should have made this a cocoa app, to take advantage of cocoa type stuff. still, if you don't know about notepad deluxe [likely, as it hasn't been updated for a while] or want something that looks aqua-fied [notepad deluxe looks like a os9 product !!] this is a good choice..
