Since no-one seems to have given any feedback for over 2 years I thought I should show that there are serious Mac OSX users out here. I've been using this program for more than 3 years now and I'm glad that the seemingly endless 3-month beta updates have come to an end and we at last have a full OSX version, including the flowchart functionality (though I don't need this for my application - battery modeling). I have always found it to be very stable (except for the crash if you forget to load a needed data file). It is extremely fast, powerful and user-friendly. One additional feature I would like would be a scripting capability so that it could be called as a calculation engine for example from an Excel macro. Here's hoping this will come with the future Java version (which will of course be a universal binary wont it?).
Wouldn't start up! - Version: 8.1ß9, 3/31/2004 02:04PM PST

Wouldn't start up under neither 10.3.3 nor 10.2.8.
Alas! Still no flowcharter

The updates do not list any changes and I find the product solid anyway, so they appear to be holding releases to keep access to the OS X beta. What I want now is flowcharting. I licensed the Classic version which provides that, but it would be nice to have the real thing. If you are Mathematica-lly inclined, feel free to spend the money, but for others this is an excellent business-oriented tool.
Interesting. I have…

used iThink/Stella for years but it is yet to get out of Classic. This adds some good things iThink lacks (e.g. batch runs, better graphing) as a tradeoff for the things it can't do (e.g. conveyor leakage). A 90-day trial looks good while I wait for the flow charts to work in X. BTW drH, why would I pay three times as much for nothing more I need?

to be kidding. For 3 times the price you get 3000 times the functionality with Mathematica.

astoundingly good program in Classic and appears to compile and execute models as efficiently in OS X. Very stable after 8 hours of use. 3 Stars only because java-based flow charts are not yet available in X. As a work-around, you can import equations from Classic flow charts into Madonna X and they run very well.
