Product Description:

Eye TV Digital Video Recorder frees you from TV schedules. Find and track all the programming you want to see, and watch it whenever you want to. Pause live television. Skip commercials. Record your favorite shows permanently using your CD burner. EyeTV will change the way you watch television.

What's new in this version:

Hardware
  • A reception problem with EyeTV Diversity while operating in diversity mode has been corrected.
  • EyeTV Hybrid: A problem with recordings using the DVD (High) preset on Intel Macs has been fixed.
  • EyeTV Hybrid: A problem with recordings using the VCD preset on single PowerPC Macs has been fixed.
Exports
  • A problem with overscanning that resulted in artefacts on exports to iPod and PSP has been resolved.
  • A problem starting with QuickTime 7.1.6 where recordings exported to AAC Audio did not get copied onto iPods has been resolved.
  • A problem where exports to iMovie HD with 720p content failed immediately has been fixed.
  • DVB Radio recordings' metadata was transposed on exports to iPod, this has been corrected.
  • When exported to Apple TV or iPod, the description text field of EyeTV recordings is now placed into iTunes' Comments field instead of iTunes' Description field, in order to remain editable within iTunes.
  • A problem where the iPod button didn't automatically synchronize DVB radio recordings to iPod has been resolved.
Playback
  • Recordings and live TV signals in MPEG-4 format from hardware with a WIS encoder chip would lose audio-video synchronization after 20 minutes, this has been corrected.

This product is designed to run on the following operating systems:

  • Mac OS X 10.4 Intel
  • Mac OS X 10.4 PPC

Additional Requirements:

  • EyeTV 2 required.
  • Mac OS X 10.4.x; Mac OS X 10.4.6 or higher with all software and security updates installed recommended.
  • A G4 with a speed of at least 500 MHz, a G5 Power Macintosh, or an iMac with Intel Core processor (Universal Binary).

Oh Elgato I do love your product. It is the best way to get TV into my Mac. However I do wish you would included a Cable Card slot into your devices. I know most US cable companies have to sell you a cable card if requested (they don't advertise this though).

According to MY application, I have the latest and it is still 3.2.1b10 (5616)

I'm running Snow Leopard and have NO problems having my Firewall on.

Instructions ARE available.

The one thing I haven't been able to get working is the iPhone app.

3.2.1 still not 64-bit!
Do developers only wait until an OS is out to update their apps, 10.6 has been available for developer testing for a LONG time!
