Product Description:

Eye TV Digital Video Recorder frees you from TV schedules. Find and track all the programming you want to see, and watch it whenever you want to. Pause live television. Skip commercials. Record your favorite shows permanently using your CD burner. EyeTV will change the way you watch television.

What's new in this version:

  • iPod Video Support - EyeTV 1.8.4 contains two export presets for the video-capable iPod. The “for iPod (default)â€? preset encodes using Apple's default QuickTime H.264 320x240 settings. The “for iPod (recommended)â€? preset uses MPEG-4 compression, which encodes up to five times faster than H.264. The MPEG-4 preset also has higher resolution output, which results in better quality, but generates a larger file. We recommend this preset as it provides the best quality for viewing either on an iPod screen or on a TV screen. Neither preset requires QuickTime Pro.
  • Watch two or more channels at the same time - With digital television products (EyeTV 300/310, 400/410, 500, 610, EyeTV for DTT, Miglia TVMini) EyeTV 1.8.4 can play and record two or more TV channels that reside on the same transponder/multiplex simultaneously. To open an additional live TV window, hold down the Control key while selecting "Open Live TV Window" from the File menu. This is considered an advanced feature, for more information see the FAQ entry at http://faq.elgato.com/index.php/faq/more/320 .
  • EyeTV for DTT - A tuning problem with EyeTV for DTT and certain Macintosh computers has been corrected. The change may affect compatibility with the PC Version of the Terratec Cinergy T2 hardware. For more information, see the FAQ entry at http://faq.elgato.com/index.php/faq/more/321 .
  • A crash while exporting long recordings to H.264 format has been fixed.
  • A hang while exporting certain recordings that contained edit markers has been fixed.
  • A problem where EyeTV recordings in MPEG-4 format played back with stuttering has been corrected.
  • A problem with the “for E-Mailâ€? export preset that was introduced with QuickTime 7 has been corrected.

Oh Elgato I do love your product. It is the best way to get TV into my Mac. However I do wish you would included a Cable Card slot into your devices. I know most US cable companies have to sell you a cable card if requested (they don't advertise this though).

According to MY application, I have the latest and it is still 3.2.1b10 (5616)

I'm running Snow Leopard and have NO problems having my Firewall on.

Instructions ARE available.

The one thing I haven't been able to get working is the iPhone app.

3.2.1 still not 64-bit!
Do developers only wait until an OS is out to update their apps, 10.6 has been available for developer testing for a LONG time!
