iMol CommentaryMacs and science - Version: 0.40, 5/25/2007 12:55PM PST

I can't believe how much sophisticated, specialized science software is out there for Macs, for free. It's totally mind-blowing.

But then, I've noticed that there seem to be a disproportionate number of Mac users among scientists in general. Astrophysicist Neil DeGrasse Tyson and evolutionary biologist Richard Dawkins are well-known examples, and you see a lot of Macs in field research.

Maybe it's a reflection of the fact that scientists "Think Different" in general, but hey, we'll take it any way we can get it..........

I tried to launch iMol, its icon appeared in the dock then disappeared right after. I am on Tiger 10.4.5. Is it the reason?
