Product Description:

While iTunes 4 does enable you to rip CD tracks as AAC files using QuickTime, it doesn't give you any options to change Encoding Quality, Streaming and Compatibility settings. Make Mine MPEG-4 automates the process of importing iTunes CD Tracks and encoding them as MPEG-4/AAC files (.m4a, .mp4, or .mov) while allowing you to take full advantage of QuickTime Pro's export settings.

You paid for QuickTime Pro features, but iTunes 4 won't let you use them all. Make Mine MPEG-4 will!

This upgrade is free for registered users.

Make Mine MPEG-4 ReviewAwesome enough to re-rip my entire CD collection! - Version: 4.5.1, 7/23/2005 11:02AM PST

A simple, clean interface that allows you to rip your CDs using the higher quality MPEG-4 encoder with the "best" encoding option in QuickTime. Encoding is slower than iTunes, but the results are great!

Make Mine MPEG-4 Commentary4.5 -> 4.5.1?? - Version: 4.5.1, 7/23/2005 10:46AM PST

This has driven me crazy for awhile now. 4.5 is shown to be "out of date," yet the 4.5.1 version that is downloaded is still 4.5. I don't want to "skip version" either, as I don't want to miss a "real" 4.5.1 if it comes out. RaarRrrrrg.

iTunes gives you the ability to change the default bitrate for AAC (MP4 Audio) files from within its Preferences area.
