Alphatk Commentary≠ alphax? - Version: 8.3.3, 10/16/2007 09:17AM PST

man de hu
I fail to see the difference between Alphatk and AlphaX (that I paid for long, long ago) -- must be real thick today ;-)

Alphatk CommentaryI don't see the slowness - Version: 8.3fc11, 8/29/2004 06:48AM PST

Hangnail
Seems pretty peppy to me (1.3 gig powerbook 12 in). Took a large text file selected all the text and began a full paste frenzy till the file got pretty big. Didn't notice any appreciable slowdown so I don't get the commentary on this editor. I'll hold off reviewing it till I play more thought.

One thing to notice. The first time you run it (or an upgrade version) it seems to index all of its internal files. There are a LOT of them so it takes a minute or two for it to finish. after this thought it starts pretty quick. If you want power and don't want to fork big bucks for bbedit full version then you might want to give this a try.
