Dymo Label Writer Software 7.0

I have been using Dymo 6.0 with my Dymo LabelWriter 330 on a Mac G-5 running 10.4.1. I had various problems after install and in my opinion this version is not as good as the previous version unless you have a LabelWriter that requires it. I could get it to work but it was not easy. When the Label Writer interface appears for you to type on you could just click anywhere in the label or if there was something already on the label it was highlighted so you could just start typing your new label. On the new version I had to clear off the typing on the existing label first. Maybe I missed something on the install but I did several installs and removed every trace of the software before doing an install. I have gone back to version 6.x and am happy again as Dymo does make a great label maker. I was thinking about going to the Dymo 400 or Turbo 400 but not if I have to use the 7.0 software.

Version 7.1 installed fine for me under 10.4.1. No troubles with label templates.

Just tried installing 7.1 on a Tiger Server system. Attempting to add the printer results in Printer Setup Utility immediately crashing.

After working with a technical rep at Dymo, we figured out that the problem was with my default label. While it worked fine for me in v6.11, v7.1 had problems with it. Creating a new label solved the problem.

It seems to initially want to open the wrong sized label for
my default. With a bit of fumbling, it eventually opens the
correct label. However, I cannot figure out how to get 7.1 to
open the desire label correctly when I start the program
again. I went back to 6.1.1 and all is fine again.
I would suggest not updating unless you need support for one
of the new LabelWriters. 6.1.1 works just fine with Tiger.

Do Not Work for Me Using Endicia - Version: 7.1, 5/7/2005 10:28AM PST

I use Endicia and Dymo together. When I installed Dymo 7.1, Endicia gave me a print error when it tried to transfer the label information over to Dymo. Dymo by itself printed fine.

Update? Not so much.

I just upgraded from 6.1 to 7.1, and I'm very unimpressed. Aside from adding support for new printers (which is always a good thing), this is no update. In fact, it's taken away functionality. I can no longer customize the tool bar. Scrolling through addresses is slower (and still causes the font to defocus, although less then version 6.1). This should have simply added the new printer drivers, called this version 6.5, and not made it worse. I'll be going back to 6.1 (which worked fine for me under Tiger, too).

I purchased Dymo file folder labels #30576. Dymo does not provided a label 14mm x 87 mm, so I figured I create one. Apparently I can't. At least I can see no way to. There is no edit label size anywhere that I can see. I thought I'd download the premade label from it from Dymo's site OR ANYWHERE on the net. There are none availalble.
Can anyone help a dieing madman out here? How can I print out of Dymo's software to a Dymo label of 14mm x 87mm. I know I have to be missing something easy; I've just spent the last three hours of my life trying to work this. Help!
