A download progress bar would be nice.

much better -- almost there. The interface is still simple but the new options are very useful. The tool tips are a great help. Speaking of help, please consider filling "Help" with helpful content, thanks! :-)

I can do the command line stuff, but it is nicer to have a GUI. Pop-up help is great. If you want to learn how to use the command line, here is where to start: http://www.gnu.org/manual/wget/html_mono/wget.html

SimpleWget ReviewProbably the "cleanest"… - Version: 0.8, 12/3/2002 11:04AM PST

way to get wget. Several of the others I've found on VT weren't compiled correctly or had some other problem. This isn't perfect but it's in 0.8 version. What the problem is in doing a binary with wget I don't have a clue. The geeks don't seem to think non-geeks need a binary. If nothing else this can be "educational" for the traditional Mac user and wget does offer some handy functionality. But wget (in general, including the GNU) needs better docs IMHO. The geeks seem to understand them. I don't and I know I'm missing some of the available features. Read the 'man' file? Sure. I get more confused. ;) Thanks for your efforts TFJ. Wish the geeks would figure out the non-geeks don't think the same way, not a question of dumb or dumber, just the way the mindset seems to differ. ;)
