NewTen ReviewAn Idea... How… - Version: 1.2, 3/31/2003 08:05AM PST

about making it possible to install a list of multiple packages without selecting the individual packages one by one right after each other? I dont mind if I have to push the "connect" button Several times on my Newt. It's just this 'constantly-switching-between-the-mouse-&-the-styus' thing is getting to me. I do have some things to complement you on, though. The UI is so much cleaner now. And it's easier to install stuff. In fact, I've used this to install so much stuff onto my Newt, that now PCMCIA cards are starting to get corrupted because I'm overloading them (hehe...). This is one of my most favoritistest apps. Thank you!! !

Goodbye Classic! If you follow the instructions included on the Disk Image you will not have the freeze problems that others below are having. Unpluging the KeySpan adapter works perfectly.

same thing to say as dibenga- I've been using this under Jaguar to install crap onto my old Newton MP 130 using a Keyspan Twin Serial Adapter. I've eventually learned how to install the packages onto my newt, but the same is true here. The app NEEDS a reset or stop function- I find myself having to Force-Quit the app several times because I had a bad sync (at first, the application doesn't respond, so I have to try at least 2 or 3 times at it.) Also, how about PREFERENCES? So it WILL finally remember my last serial driver selection- cu.USA281P2.2? Otherwise, ROCK ON! Thanks for keeping the Newton Pride Alive, especially under OS X! (although I still have to boot into 9 if I wish to backup, use the keyboard to type on the thing, or export stuff off of my Newton through the Newton Connection Utilities.) As I said to the creator/s of NewtSync (another OS X newt app that syncs Newts with your iCal calendars and address books), Keep chugging away. These Newton Apps are really wonderful.

Jag/Newton 130 and a Keyspan adapter. Needs a reset or stop function, the only way to stop a bad sync is a Force quit. Also it doesn't remember my last driver selection which is annoying. Fix that and you got my cash! Thanks so much for keeping the Newton Alive!!
