entirely possible that Mac is doing some "real" work when the screensaver is running. Just because the user is idle doesn't mean that the CPU is. I wonder if the screen saver can be given a low priority so that it will use the CPU if it's idle, but not take a lot of CPU cycles away from an application that's doing "real" work.

a bug report (the prefs settings that break all and so on). There's no change in the coloring routines, so it should act exactly as the previous versiona, as long as you set the charge options to "1-1". The prefs panel is still under arrangement, so I'll try to make it more easy to use. About CPU slowdowns... In the next release I'll try to use AltiVec, but it's not an easy task, and it doesn't help G3 owners.
