Product Description:

Ridge is more than an Internet meter. With this new utility you can cumulate your downloads and/or uploads and you can set limits (like 5 GB of download) on that amount. Ridge will than alert you when the limit has been reached. It also has stunning graphics to "watch" the traffic on your connection and easily detect slow downs and bottlenecks. A packet dump is also present to learn more about some particular protocols, find spyware and much more.

Version 2.0 includes:

problem with the uninstaller. It deletes libpcap.A.dylib even if it existed before. Completely screwed up my nmap.

app called sniffles that did the packet sniffing aspect of this program. It's discontinued, but you can find it if you look around. If you're not afraid of bsd, tcpdump might be interesting.

packet dump feature (5 stars) -- even counts packets in background without running the main app (don't know of ANY other app that does this). For internet speed monitoring I prefer Netmonitor X in the menu bar.
