Don't pay for it. I've had so big problem with this soft and this developer. He's not really reliable.
Use others existing free soft.

Acquisition CommentaryAcqlite is better - Version: 2.0 build 209, 2/20/2009 11:50AM PST

I too spent $15 for version 1 and then was asked to shell out more for version 2 despite my "free upgrades for life". This developer is dishonest and I have no intention of buying any more products from him. At this point, it doesn't really matter. Acqlite is a better program and is open source and free.

Purchased this quite some time ago and for the most part it was ok, didn't like the registration process etc, but not a big deal. They changed the reg. process and now I'm locked out. Tried to get a support email, was tough but found it. Emailed a number of times with no result. If you are thinking about paying for this software I'd recommend against it. Support is non existent. Could have been a good product but....

I've been using Acquisition since version 1.0, and have always wanted to like it. The intended functionality is good, the interface is just fine, and when it works, it works well.

Unfortunately, it works well only about half the time. It's one of the most unreliable and fractious applications I've ever used. It locks up almost as often as it has it CPU fits where it hogs ridiculous amounts of processing.

Acquisition ReviewDisconnects... - Version: 2.0 build 209, 7/26/2008 08:15AM PST

It disconnects after a few minutes, whatever settings and remains frozen until next relaunch.
Version1 was very good. I paid for version 2 and get a useless rubish.
David Watanabe used to be very reactive in upgrading, now it seems to be over...
Is he gone with the acquisition money ?

Acquisition ReviewDecent application, but - Version: 2.0 build 209, 5/16/2008 10:03AM PST

Acquisition is a decent application, but the developer is just stealing the work of others. If you want a similar simple clean Gnutella client, try out Cabos. I used to use Acquisition, but I've switched. I recommend doing the same.

the Helix
Transmission is a much simpler and efficient product and what's more, it's free.
