Pop-Up Zapper - 2.67

Pop-Up Zapper is a shareware application for Mac OS X that helps you by "zapping" away those annoying popup windows when you surf the web or by filtering out large graphics that slow down your modem connection.

Graphics filtering works with all major browsers and email systems. For popups, Pop-Up Zapper watches the work of your web browser (IE) and when it identifies a pop up window (or pop-under) it makes it invisible to you and then closes it. Occasionally you may see a window flash really fast before it is zapped. You can look at Pop-Up Zapper's counter on its Dock icon to see that it is working. Play a user or system sound when a window is zapped. You can add your own zap or allow locations.

For filtering, Pop-Up Zapper acts as a 'Proxy' for your web browser or mail program (most if not all browsers), and can be told to leave out flash animations, Javascripts, graphics over 1K in size, all graphics or a combination of those options. Choosing to only load selected graphics can improve your web browsing speed substantially. If the option or shift key is down while loading all filtering is off.
