Product Description:

xv is an interactive image manipulation program for the X Window System. It can operate on images in the GIF, JPEG, TIFF, PBM, PGM, PPM, XPM, X11 bitmap, Sun Rasterfile, Targa, RLE, RGB, BMP, PCX, FITS, PM, and PNG formats on all known types of X displays. It can generate PostScript files, and if you have ghostscript (version 2.7 or above) installed on your machine, it can also display them, as well as PDFs.

What's new in this version:

Trivial MacOS port from FreeBSD-ports collection base, compiled statically against zlib 1.1.4, libpng 1.2.2, libtiff 3.5.7, libjpeg 6.2b, libungif 5.2.0, and has virtually every patch for XV applied, so they all play nicely together, including the later 'dSAFER' for ghostscript.
