Berkowitz is Wonderful...Kagi screws up sometimes - Version: 1.3.10, 2/23/2008 12:34PM PST

You might want to be careful to only purchase it on a weekday. The Kagi generated unlock code DID NOT WORK!!! No one of course is available on the weekend to deal with this.
LOUSY DOCUMENTATION, NO SUPPORT

Beware what you get for your $20. I don't know how the other parts worked. For a conversion of Entourage to Outlook, including contacts, it was a very difficult task. The documentation was disorganized. I had to skip around a lot, then read and re-read passages trying to understand how to do what I needed to do. What's worse, one key passage assured me that I could import distribution lists into Outlook by re-classifying them as 'categories' then converting them back to distribution lists in Outlook. THIS IS COMPLETELY FALSE. After a lot of time wasted and then further research on the Internet, it became pretty clear that one is stuck with categories posing as distribution lists in Outlook, which is not very convenient. To add insult to injury, Berkowitz did't bother to answer four increasingly urgent emails to his address.
If you have a complicated situation, be prepared for a painful, dissatisfying process, at least for some of these conversions.

This was a disappointing purchase. I bought hopping to rescue my data from a problematic database that I can't rebuild but can still open. But the script fails with errors, so if unless your database is in tiptop shape don't bother. You'll end up dragging mailboxes and emails to desktop anyway.
It was even more aggravating that I couldn't even use it to transfer accounts. A security measure requires you to type in 4 passwords for each account, so if you have a long list of emails, you won't save much time there either.
All in all very disappointing. All this could have been saved by a note: only use for healthy databases.

Trouble with email migration from Entourage 2004 to Win Outlook 2007 - Version: 1.3.10, 10/22/2007 11:57AM PST

I tried using Export-Import Entourage script to move my mail and address data from Mac Entourage 2004 to Windows Outlook 2007. I’ve made it through most of the steps, but am having a bit of trouble getting my messages into Outlook.
I exported all the mail folders individually, changed the extensions to .mbx, imported them into Eudora (first Eudora 7 and then into Eudora 5.1, since I couldn’t get the data into Outlook from Eudora 7). When I open the .mbx files in Eudora, most of my mail messages seem to be there and all of the folders open, the .toc files are created, etc. and I can access the messages in Eudora. Oddly a few messages from the last few weeks of using Entourage are not included in my sent and inbox files, but I can get those with a separate date specific export.
However, when I try to import to Outlook Express or Outlook (I’ve tried both), things get messy.
If I try to go directly from Eudora 5.1 to Outlook, I get the following error message: “Mail folder could not be opened. If another application is using the file, please close it and try again.” Eudora is always closed when I try this. I’ve even tried rebooting my computer before importing to Outlook, but that doesn’t seem to help.
If I try to import into Outlook Express, only some of the folders import with any messages at all, so there is no point importing from Outlook Express to Outlook.
Any thoughts, feedback, help, etc. that you have would be much appreciated.

I had a csv downloaded from my school website that didn't work with the outlook to x converter, but i followed the directions somewhere that said convert csv to text via excel, then used the "other" pim converter to import it. (Also the kagi activation email was immediate.) Thank you so much, altho it hurt to pay $20 as a broke student I'm happy with the result. I also recognize the script author's name from other helpful advice I've found somewhere on the web when I had mac questions, so thanks for that too!
Works great in Tiger!

I was using 1.3.1, which had issues in 10.4. However, 1.3.6 works flawlessly. Thank you for a great product, Paul!

It looks like you can do a basic Entourage import/export just by copying the identity from '/Users/<user name>/Documents/Microsoft User Data/Office X Identities/<identity name>' and replacing it into a new install.
Haven't tried the software, but if this is all you are looking to do, it might be worth looking in to.

How about a dollar for just one script? - Version: 1.3.1, 7/11/2004 10:39PM PST

I have a large database of high school classmates i need to export. I paid for Office, and now I have to pay $20 to unlock all these scripts when I just need one out of 50 scripts which I'm only going to use once?
It would be easier to export the entire list, import them into Office for Windows XP and hand-select the ones I need and then export the list by catagory on Windows.
Bad shareware model.
