Product Description:

50 scripts to export and import almost everything - Contacts, Groups, Calendar Events, Tasks, Notes, Messages, Folders, Accounts, Signatures, Mailing Lists and Categories - from one identity of Entourage X or 2001 to any other, and to transfer Contacts, Calendar, Tasks and Notes to and from other PIM programs on the Mac and Windows, with special converters for Microsoft Outlook, Excel and other programs.

You can import/export between all versions of Entourage, Outlook, Palm Desktop and other PIMs.

The scripts enable archiving, restoration, and data synching or transporting. Some operations are not possible for all types of data, and some are not possible to or from programs that do not support the functions required. The Outlook and Other Converters transfer contacts, calendar, tasks and notes ? there are instructions for transferring messages without scripts in the ReadMe.

The current scripts work only with English language and Western European versions of Entourage.

Note: There are separate script packages for X and 2001. If you are exporting from X to 2001 or vice versa, get both script packages (Export-Import Entourage X).

Export-Import Entourage is shareware ($20.00). You may use two copies of the same or different versions (X and/or 2001) for one registration payment. There is a one-time free Demo mode for exporting and importing 25 contacts.

What's new in this version:

v1.3.10 is for both Entourage 2004 and Entourage X, and will work in Tiger OS 10.4, Panther OS 10.3 and Jaguar OS 10.2.

1.3.10 fixes bugs in two of the Excel scripts (Excel Import Adapter, Excel Save Clean Text: see Version 1.3.10 Update document for details) and in the Other Converter script Other Calendar to EvX (see Version 1.3.10 Update).

I bought the scripts through Kagi, but the registration key provided by Kagi did not work. Two emails to the developer, one sent directly and the other via Kagi, have resulted in complete silence.

Caveat emptor.

You might want to be careful to only purchase it on a weekday. The Kagi generated unlock code DID NOT WORK!!! No one of course is available on the weekend to deal with this.

Beware what you get for your $20. I don't know how the other parts worked. For a conversion of Entourage to Outlook, including contacts, it was a very difficult task. The documentation was disorganized. I had to skip around a lot, then read and re-read passages trying to understand how to do what I needed to do. What's worse, one key passage assured me that I could import distribution lists into Outlook by re-classifying them as 'categories' then converting them back to distribution lists in Outlook. THIS IS COMPLETELY FALSE. After a lot of time wasted and then further research on the Internet, it became pretty clear that one is stuck with categories posing as distribution lists in Outlook, which is not very convenient. To add insult to injury, Berkowitz did't bother to answer four increasingly urgent emails to his address.

If you have a complicated situation, be prepared for a painful, dissatisfying process, at least for some of these conversions.
