Product Description:

Secure Notebook helps to find stolen laptop computers by using a hidden background application to send Arin whois queries and other useful information to an email account. Just enter your email address, SMTP server and you're ready to go! You can also configure a wide range of options if you like. The readme file is well written containing lots of information.

Imho, this software is stupid :
- You can quit it by mouse clic
- It apear in the dock (hello discretion)
- You have to reboot for any modification
- You can't send a test mail
- It work in a user context, not as root or hidden user

Human noted that there are apps to retrieve the Open Firmware password, which is actually unnecessary. It is possible to over-ride and reset the password with a key combo and a few commands during startup.
