Like a comment below for an earlier version, the installer has been busy "searching" for quite some time now... Think I'll forget about this and stick with the verison I have. Sigh.

Canon PowerShot ImageBrowser ReviewNo more photo printing! - Version: 6.0.2a, 2/25/2008 02:05AM PST

I upgraded to 6.0.2 from 5.8 and printing with my Canon Selphy ES1 is impossible now. I tried to downgrade 5.8 and always get the message that a newer version is installed and the downgrade installation is aborted which is bogus, because I deleted all of the Canon programs and files, even all Canon system preferences and files they spread all over the system. I guess I have missed a file with a cryptic name hidden anywhere in the system telling the installer that there was a 6.0.2 installed. In other words, this software made my Selphy ES1 useless as I cannot print anymore. I reinstalled the ES1 drivers and spent hours on trying to get it to work again without success.
This is really a poor piece of software, that obviously has not been tested at all before it was published. I should mention that I use 10.5.2. But there was no warning not to use Image Browser 6.0.2 with 10.5.2 and the former version 5.8. worked well on 10.5.2 except it was very slow. In addition there seems to be no FAQ or any information on the Canon web site. So stay away from upgrading to 6.0.2 if you use version 5.8 on system 10.5!
