Maya Personal Learning Edition Commentary@#$%& ;-( !!!! Bah Humbug!!! Part II - Version: 6.0, 11/23/2004 06:52AM PST

At least for me, it's not a DL issue, which worked fine on Opera, Firefox, Safari, and IE. Rather, Alias has so far not emailed a product key, as promised repeatedly on their site. They have ignored my separate emailed requests.

Reviewing all the other posts, some have no problems, and some - a significant number - have insurmountable ones, with either the software or the product key, but with no explanatory differences in set-up.

Why am I so upset? Apparently this is pretty good software, and I would have been happy to try it, and perhaps then to buy it. As it is, however, given their apparent disinterest in customer, or potential-customer, support (may or may not be Mac-only), I wouldn't feel comfortable giving them my money.

I have to go along with Spindle1 - Download form was, yes, long and cumbersome - but then again they're letting us test-drive what amounts to a $7,000 piece of software. But key code was emailed pronto, no problems with the download on Safari (OSX 10.3.6).

Notwithstanding the grousing of others, the 157 MB zip file downloaded in approx 90 minutes with Safari and the software key was e-mailed right away.
