Mask Pro CommentaryThere are other ways... - Version: 4.1.2, 7/1/2008 06:34AM PST

RPB3
...to get the same result what Mask Pro does. Try copying a color channel to an alpha channel and edit it with the "Nachbelichter" und "Abwedler" tools ( I only know the German terms, but you select them with the "O" key). Then load the alpha channel as selection, done.
And, a bit irritating, OnOne software finely tears "update" from "patch". The difference is: The "update" installer loads from the website in normal speed – but won't install ("Can't find previous version"). Vice versa, the "patch" can only be loaded from the Mask Pro application resp. filter dialog itself, loads SLOOOOOOOOOWLY (10 kbyte / second) and blocks the complete Photohop (it took about 40 minutes for me). But after waiting so long – surprise – the .pkg file also is named "Update" and won't install either. Har har.
