Considering how many talented programmers are associated with Sourceforge, I too am surprised that this program requires the Terminal; especially considering how many years it has now been in development. Considering how many other, more user-friendly genealogy programs are currently available for the Mac, I think that unless an Aqua GUI is written for this app, it isn't going to acquire much of a following . . . but then, maybe the targeted audience is specifically UNIX geeks, of which I am not one. :)

Bytesmiths
why THIS app is constrained to terminal use, but this is not your father's "C:" prompt -- the Unix command line (togther with awk, grep, perl, sed, etc.) can be used as an ad-hoc query language, and can be much more powerful than a GUI.

Kaik
it runs via the terminal. The modesty is overwhelming.
