I've found Link Checker to be invaluable. Plus, the author responded to my e-mails and even implemented a suggestion I had. This is one of the best programs I've seen, and it keeps getting better!

It's popping up a notice for every file it processes. Debugging code that wasn't disabled before release? Whatever it is, it makes this version completely useless.

as plain text (gibberish) into an IE 5.2.2 browser window, but downloaded OK in Safari 0.8.1. The app crashes if you try to test too many (16) links simultaneously; 4 links at a time works for me. The restriction to checking only links on one web site is OK for verifying internal consistency, but it keeps this app from being useful as a "web" tool. Badly needs some basic documentation.

are you using? Proper configuration could be key, and I am working on a manual but just had to release this version for previous users because it is a lot better.
