Image Doctor useful for quick fixes

I have used various versions of Image Doctor in Photoshop for several years as I have found it quite useful for quick fixes to retouch my photos. It works quite easily--simply outline the object to be fixed or removed with Photoshop's lasso tool and apply the fix. The fixes work best if there is a fairly homogeneous background around the object being removed (e.g., a stick in homogeneous blue water or a mole on a person's cheek). Even large objects can be removed such as a telephone pole and wires against a blue sky. If the retouching does not work very well, then sometimes Photoshop's paste function can be used to tidy up the retouching. It could be a bit cheaper although one can find an academic version for around $130. It works with CS2 and CS3 as a plug-in filter with OSX 10.4 or 10.5 on G5's or Intel processors.

8/12/2002 Looks like this needs dusting off. Wonder if it still works.
