Product Description:

Tn3270 is a terminal emulation program for connecting to computers which use IBM 3270 terminals. Major features of the emulation include color, extended highlighting, support for different screen and font sizes, and SSL support. Some more obscure features include support for the APL character set, and support for file transfer and remote printing when tn3270 is used with an IBM VM/CMS host.

To use tn3270, the host computer must provide a telnet server which supports the extensions for 3270 terminals. On your Macintosh, you must be able to connect to the host server using TCP/IP.

What's new in this version:

  • Added support for Kerberos encryption
  • Added support for Kerberos 4 and 5 authentication
  • Added support for the Telnet Start TLS option
  • Removed "glue" code for 10.1.5 compatibility (since Kerberos requires 10.2.8 in any case.)

Brown University tn3270 X CommentaryNo RS232 Support?? - Version: 3.1.6, 6/1/2005 02:08PM PST

When I saw there this terminal emulator come through the VT RSS feed I was so happy that I had finally found an RS232 terminal emulator... then I realized I hadn't. Are there ANY terminal emulators that support RS232?? I need this for debugging hardware at work and I'm sick of using windows for it.
