Product Description:

This applescript will force-mount physical disks that refuse to mount on your system. You can also drop any type of image file (.dmg, .toast, .img) onto Mount Me! to have it mounted on your desktop.

If you double-click on the icon, it will seek out and mount any external/internal physical disks that refuse to mount for whatever reason. You will be able to select which disk(s) you would like to mount through a simple dialog box. To mount a disk image, simply drag the file onto the Mount Me! icon. Mount Me! CommentaryDidn't do what I hoped... - Version: 2.05, 10/18/2007 08:41AM PST

Mount Me! didn't manage to force mount my drive... but I can't really fault it. The problem ended up being the drive itself.

Just for anyone who might be here because one of their drives won't mount, this is how I solved the problem.

I use Panther (10.3.9) and nothing I tried could get the disk to mount. I took it to a friend's house who runs Tiger and tried it there. It wouldn't mount - but Tiger's Disk Utility found and fixed an error in the disk's header. The Panther Disk Utility just didn't see the error.

So, if you have a disk problem and you run Panther, try repairing the disk using a newer version of Disk Utility, either a friend's or at the genius bar, I guess.

Mount Me! Troubleshooting ReportFeature Question - Version: 2.05, 4/12/2007 10:22PM PST

Hello. I haven't downloaded the program yet, but I wanted to ask something about it. Could I safely use the program to mount a DVD? See, I have a DVD-ROM drive, but it won't mount the backup from my last computer. Only reason I can think of is that it thinks it's pirated or doesn't recognise it quite. Regardless, I know the drive can run it, it just won't. Could someone respond with this information? Thank you. I just don't want to try and see for myself and run the risk of ruining the disc. I don't know how it could hurt it, and you should never do something if you don't know what damage you could do by doing it. Only backup, made as the computer fizzled to death. Dog knocked a full cup of hot tea on it. Should have been more careful, but I didn't think she'd be able to flail such a great distance.

Mount Me! ReviewMount Me! worked for me - Version: 2.04, 12/25/2005 10:49PM PST

Mount Me! sucessfully finds and remounts a 160Gb external drive (formated in Fat 32 so I can use it on a PC as well) on my Mini under Tiger. An alias to it on the desktop is quicker than digging out Disk Utility.
