Product Description:

What's new in this version:
- Fixed a problem where launching the Font Reserve Mac Client would sometimes cause Mac OS to switch to the USA input method.
- Fixed an issue that caused -608 errors when connecting to Font Reserve Server as administrator or when resuming connections
- The Font Reserve InDesign CS2 plug-in no longer suppresses the Missing Linked Image dialog box when opening an InDesign file that has missing linked images.
- The Preferences pane to launch the settings application now works properly on Intel Macs.
- Fixed an issue where some Eastern European input methods and keyboards would cause the Font Reserve Mac Client to close immediately when attempting to connect to the server.
- Font Reserve Server will no longer fail to launch in certain time zones.
- The Font Reserve Illustrator CS2 plug-in will no longer cause false error messages about missing linked files.
- The Font Reserve QuarkXPress plug-in was updated so that Quark Passport 6.5 will no longer close unexpectedly when opening a second document while the Master page of a first document is selected.
- The Font Reserve Illustrator CS2 plug-in will no longer cause false error messages about missing linked files.
- Font Sense data is now always saved into Illustrator CS & CS2 documents when the plug-in is enabled.

A Nony Mouse
Finally 1.7.6.. The last update before Fusion Server next year. I'll be testing this puppy and then if it checks out in my test environment its ARD 3.0 to the whole f-ing place. Tired of dealing with the old crap. Hey, where did 1.7.5 go? Never saw that..

Font Reserve Client 1.7.4 is as buggy, buggier maybe, than the previous. And Extensis knows it, and they have no timeline for fixing it.
Their plugin makes InDesign 2 files incompatible with InDesign CS! They admitted this on the phone and said only that they are "aware of the problem".
InDesign 2 files created with the Font Reserve plugin will hang up when you try to open them in InDesign CS with the FR plugin.
Their suggested workaround is to turn font reserve off, disable all the plugins, open all your ID2 docs, delete the plugin data, resave them all as IDCS, then turn all the font reserve stuff back on and then maybe it'll work.
And we thought this software was to streamline work, not overcomplicate it.
I've never used a worse font manager in my life, and I've been here since their first version of suitcase.
